Voter registration closes on October 2 for the 2010 SC election on November 2nd. If you do not register by October 2, you will not be able to vote in the 2010 election. It is critical that you vote in November to change the direction of our country.
We are resuming our local meetings on Thursday, September 9 at Boulineau's IGA in the upstairs conference room. Our guest speaker will be Marc Jordan, CEO of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. The meeting begins at 7 PM. Bring at least one guest with you. We would like to have a large turn out to hear Marc. You can be sure that the one-cent sales tax will be a topic of discussion.
A meet-and-greet is scheduled for September 21 at 10 AM for
Mark Hammond, SC Secretary of State. Mark is running for reelection against a strong competitor. Mark will talk about his accomplishments and what his vision is for the state. Mark's competitor is Marjorie Johnson, a democratic activitist who moved to South Carolina upon retiring from her job in Washington, DC. She is a native of Washington, DC.
