You make the difference! Get involved in issues and races that affect your neighborhood and city, at the state level and on the national level. We'll share with you several different ways you can get involved.
You wonder why things are not going in the direction you think they should be heading.You're not sure what you can do to make a difference. You CAN make a difference. You may need just a little bit of motivation and guidance to find your way to getting involved. Here are 12 ways that you can get involved in the political system and make sure that your voice and concerns are heard:
- Participate in Precinct reorganization meetings, this is the grassroots start of all political agenda.
- Attend rallies, support your conservative agenda and candidates.
- Get your friends and coworkers to vote at every opportunity.
- Create an online petition for something that you really feel strongly about changing.
- Volunteer for a campaign. There are many state and local races on odd years, as well as, every US House of Representative running for election every two years (even years).
- Alert the media about something that concerns you. Write an editorial to your local newspaper. Call a newsperson about an issue; the newsfolks need news to keep their jobs.
- Host a house party. Pick a topic, invite a couple of local speakers on the topic and have some fun.
- Write letters to Congress. Letters are a key source of constituent input and support for every member. If you have an issue (any issue) that you cannot get resolved, write your Congressman and define the problem, what you have done, and what result you want. - Involve your family. Politics is for everyone, it affects many aspects of our lives. Click here to see additional information about this.
